Poulet Manille in SM Aura

I was invited by my friend to a dinner at Poulet Manille last December 10. It is a new restaurant designed for people who enjoy eating healthy food. It comes from the French words "Poulet" meaning chicken and "Manille," the French equivalent of Manila.

Chandra Mercado of Poulet Manille gave us a tour of their kitchen. According to her, they wanted to create a food hub for anyone who seeks for a healthier alternative from the chicken places. While most supermarket chicken are raised indoors in confinement, free-range chicken are allowed to roam outdoors. I actually didn't realize how unhygienic for the chicken to live in confinement.

Poulet Manille is proud to claim the distinction of serving free-range chicken, grown naturally up to 75 days, they are leaner and healthier. These chicken are placed in skewers and roasted in a traditional French rotisserie oven delivered from France!

They've served us 4 different flavors (original, BBQ, truffle and peri-peri). The chicken were yummy. My personal favorite was the peri-peri. Great eaten with their mashed potato and other side dishes. I will definitely go back with my family!
