Aracama!

Working for a multi-national company means you will have regional visitors once in a while. Our Regional Marketing Director visited Manila to conduct a workshop and we brought her to Aracama for Dinner. I loved the interior of this restaurant - classic Filipino vibe!

We ordered some of their classic Filipino signature dishes.  Their menu is divided into: Firsts, Feasts, Forage and Finale.

Traffic was really bad from Manila to Fort.  It took us nearly 2 hours! We were so hungry. Good thing we pre-ordered the food. Started with these appetizers:
Nilasing na Hipon
Lumpiang Sisig
Insalata Uva
Malunggay Mozzarella Dip
Hands down! For me, the Malunggay Mozzarella Dip was the best - Superior nutritious Moringga leaves and spinach in a hot cheese dip, served with crostinis! Food was fast, they immediately served us the Main Course dishes (or maybe they knew we were really hungry). We felt we needed to order more so we ordered additional Gambas and Salpicao.

Inasal na Manok
Lengua Estofado
Lechon Carajay
Gambas Version 2.0
Salpicao de la Casa
I loved the Inasal, Lechon Carajay (crisp-fried pork belly in the style of Ilocano bagnet), Gambas (sauteed prawns, tomatoes, smoked paprika, chili flakes and green garlic chive oil) and Salpicao (melt-in-your-mouth 24-hour sous vide beef riblets). Yummy!!!

For desserts, we ordered Suman, Chocnut Ice Cream (not in photo) and Dulce Gatas and Bunuelos. I thought I was already full but I wasn't able to resist the super yummy Dulce Gatas! Woohoo!
